MARKET NEWS ET51/ET56 TABLETS – THE ALPHA ANIMALS IN THE WORKING JUNGLE Zebra’s ET51 and ET56 tablets are the latest additions to the »Zebrilla family«. They combine chic design with robust durability. Thanks to this combination, the tablets adapt ideally to their respective oper- ating environment in logistics and transpor- tation, field service and stationary retail. Designed for ambidextrous and hands-free scanning, Zebra’s DS9900 Series easily switches between handheld and presentation modes. In addition, the scanners read almost everything: electronic barcodes on smartphones and poorly read- able ones on paper. NEW BATTERIES FOR THE EDA60K AND BATTERY EXCHANGE FOR SELECTED MODELS OF THE CT50 UPDATE FOR THE THOR VM3 WITH FORESIGHT The Thor VM3 is a rugged vehicle computer from Honeywell. Equipped with a 12.1" touch display, it is avail- able in different versions – for usage in standard warehouses, cold stor- age or outdoors. New product versions are available for the versatile and rugged Honeywell VM3 mobile terminal. The Thor VM3 now also comes with the operat - ing system Windows 10 2016 IoT Enterprise LTSB, with 128 GB of stor- age space and 8 GB of RAM. Battery replacement for selected Honeywell Dolphin CT50 devices Honeywell recommends replacing the 318-055-001 batteries on the Dolphin CT50 which were manufactured between 2015 through Q3 2017. Other battery models are not affected. Honeywell has found that the batteries of the affected CT50 devices generate excessive heat, which may result in damage or injury. These events are very unusual. The circumstantial rate is approximately 0.005 % for the mobile computers used, and so far it has only been observed with rechargeable batteries which are older than 18 months. For affected CT50 models, Honeywell offers the ability to replace the batteries early. This special offer is available to resellers and/or users who can tell by the serial number or the original version of the operating system if their CT50 model is affected. New batteries for the Honeywell ScanPal EDA60K There are new batteries for the Honeywell ScanPal EDA60K. The old SKU 50135498-001 will be replaced by the new SKU 50135498-002.
